What we do with your document
Your file is sent to our servers encrypted, analysed immediately and then deleted. We do not keep the content of your document and never use it to train AI models.

WhatDaDoc is built around one principle: we do not keep your documents.
What we do store
If you have an account, we keep your email address, your credit balance and the number of analyses you have run. For each analysis we only store the time, the file type and the file size — never the content or the file name.
Sharing with third parties
We use an AI provider to generate the explanation. The document content is only processed there temporarily to produce the explanation. We never sell your data and never use it for advertising.
Retention periods
Documents: not kept. Usage data: 12 months maximum. Account data: until you delete your account.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data. Delete your account in your dashboard or contact us via the contact page.
Security
All connections run over HTTPS. Access to account data is restricted and protected by strict access rules in our database.
